Last week at Orchard Park there was a threat found on a computer. The news came taking pictures outside of the school. I got up the next day to find in the news paper that there was a gun threat at Orchard Park. That is a complete lie! The letter did NOT say anything about shooting a gun. (1) Barzetti said someone had created a folder on a desktop titled Open Me. Inside the folder was a threat stating violence would occur on Nov. 12, but it didn't offer any specifics about motive, nor did it target any staff or students. Nowhere in that statement does it say that there was a gun threat! It was just a stupid threat that people took way too far. Many rumours were spread about the topic, and the news obviously bought in to it.

If the news bought in to something that small, I can’t help but wonder how much of the content in the news papers and on television is actually true.
